Tøndermarsken is a magnet for art and handicrafts. Tøndermarsken attracts artists from all over Denmark. They find plenty of inspiration in the natural wilderness and history of the marshes.

TOWNS

The towns and landscapes in the marshes bear the hallmarks of special conditions that apply to life in the marshes. Tønder, Bønderby, Møgeltønder and Højer are all built on the edge of the Geest. Rudbøl and Nørremølle are the only villages in Denmark built on dykes.
