Art and Handicrafts

Tøndermarsken is largely a cultural destination.

Tøndermarsken’s cultural heritage is evident. For example, there are 125 listed buildings and 10 buildings under preservation orders in Højer alone. There are castles and manor houses, historical environments, the border country and its history and, of course, the cultural landscape with its polders, dykes, sluices, pumping stations, etc.

However, Tøndermarsken is no less a cultural destination thanks to the many artists and artisans who produce art and handicrafts here.

This page provides you with a list of the many and varied artists and artisans in Tøndermarsken.

Bodil Arbjerg Lundby regards achieving mastery over nature’s materials as a challenge. She seeks to play along not only with material limitations but also with the broad palette of opportunities they afford.

Address: Nissumgade 18, 6780 Skærbæk
Phone/E-mail: 25 13 92 91 / daisydahl@outlook.dk

Daisy is fascinated by houses and architecture, and the symbolism associated with such structures. A house is the foundation for our life as we live it. Each of us is from our HOME and of our HOME. Our home is where we belong. Using contemporary artistic methods, Daisy portrays your home as your haven in life, often with a twist of the vernacular. She may include a mill, water tower, beacon or other elements that are of significance to you and your surroundings, or that are part of our common cultural heritage.

Daisy is fascinated by the play of colour and light in her local area. She expresses these in her more abstract works. Her paintings are beautiful and laden with meaning.
