Cookies and personal data policy

Introduction

When you visit our website, we record personal data about you that we use to adapt and improve web content and enhance the value of the content shown to you here. If you do not wish us to record such data, you should erase cookies and stop using the website. In the following, we describe which data we record, the purpose for which we record this information, and which third parties have access to it.

This website uses cookies, snippets of text software, that are saved on your PC, mobile phone or similar device for the purpose of identifying your device, saving settings, creating statistics and targeting advertising. Cookies are harmless. They do not contain harmful code, e.g. computer virus.

Personal data

General note

The term “personal data” describes any type of information that can identify you in some way. When you visit our website, we (as the Data Controller) record and process various data about you. For example, when you access content, subscribe to our newsletter, take part in competitions or surveys, register as a user or subscriber, and otherwise use our web services or make purchases via our website.

As a rule, we record and process the following types of data: A unique ID and technical information about your PC, tablet or mobile phone, your IP address, geographical location and which pages you click on (your interests). To the extent that you explicitly consent to our processing such data and enter the information yourself, we also process the following data: your name, phone number, email address, postal address and payment details. These data will usually be processed in connection with your creating a user login or making a purchase.

Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration and unauthorized disclosure of, or access to personal data transmitted.

Purpose

We use your personal data to identify you as a user, show you content that is most likely to be relevant to you, record your purchases and payments, and deliver the services you have requested, e.g. send you our newsletter. Furthermore, we use your personal data to optimise our services and content.

Storage period

The data are stored for as long as we are legally permitted to do so. We erase data when they are no longer required. The storage period depends on the type of data in question and the purpose for which they are stored. Therefore, we are unable to provide a general timetable for personal data erasure.

Data disclosure

We use a number of third parties (Data Processors) to store and process data. The Data Processors in question process data solely on our behalf and are not permitted to use the data for purposes of their own.

We disclose your personal data, such as your name and email address, etc., to a third party if you consent for us to do so. We use Data Processors in EU Member States or in countries that ensure the protection of your rights as the Data Subject.

Right of access and right to object

As the Data Subject, you have a right of access, i.e. a right to know which of your personal data we process. Furthermore, you have a right at any time to object to data processing. You also have a right to withdraw your consent to data processing. If the information we process about you is incorrect, you have a right to have it rectified or erased. If you wish to lodge a complaint about our processing of personal data, you have a right to complain to Datatilsynet (The Danish Data Protection Authority).
